Upzoning the Corridors
On March 3, 2025 at 11:30AM the Housing Committee that initiated the deplorable Luxury Housing Upzoning that was ordained on February 10. In this case, they are joined by the Neighborhood and Long Term Planning Committee in a joint meeting. For largely political reasons, it appears, the Council majority voted to leave out the city area with the greatest potential for more housing, namely Central Square. Let’s not make the same mistake in Cambridge of leaving out green spaces, trees, inner courtyards, height limits and more.
